Buying a movie ticket will now be a seamless exercise as Deepam Cinema rolls its new online ticketing.
Billed as easy to use and convenient, all movie lovers will be able to buy tickets online by logging on to www.deepamcinema.com with any internet devices and simply retrieve the tickets, with a few simple steps.
With your bank Debit Card, Credit Card, Visa and American Express (Amex) you can purchase your tickets.
The management of Deepam Cinema says this move is meant to empower patrons in this digital century, where Deepam Cinema continues to embrace innovation and fully engage the evolving demands of its customers.
“The internet is allowing people to control their lives in significant ways and it is also central to how we operate. Our online ticketing is a smart product designed to benefit our patrons and add value to the movie-going experience. Consumers are banking and paying bills online, now a busy person can enjoy that convenience when purchasing tickets for the family and have the benefit of arriving just in time for the show, no need to join a queue for tickets,” says the management.
Buying directly from the Deepam Cinema new website has many advantages, such as you will have E-tickets and they will be saved in your mails and you receive an SMS text on your phone with all the details for the show such as the date, time and seat number, reduce time, no need to get into a queue. All these advantages come with a minimal R15 extra per booking transaction.
A couple of years ago, the cinema undertook a major renovation that took months to complete at a cost of R4 million.
The movie theatre can now accommodate 200 persons instead of the 247 capacity before the renovation, due to the fact that the new seats are larger and more comfortable, all for a superior movie watching experience.
The cinema has also upgraded to silver screen, which is a type of projection screen that delivers best quality movies in 2D and 3D versions. Now the cinema can project movies in 2k and 4k resolution which translates to 2048x1080 or 3840 pixels × 2160 pixels.
Deepam Cinema has also upgraded its sound with a DATASAT Digital surround sound system from the 5.1 that used six channels (feeding into a total of 12 speakers) to 7.1 surround sound systems using eight channels with 14 speakers. The two extra channels of sound will provide back surround effect separately.
If you haven’t tried the new online ticketing website, you can purchase your tickets to go watch Jumanji this upcoming week on www.deepamcinema.com, or if you prefer to buy your tickets the old way simply by queueing up at the ticket booth, the choice is yours!
