Students suspended after vandalising school property |10 August 2017
A group of secondary three (S3-4 and S3-5) students at the Mont Fleuri school have been suspended after they vandalised furniture in two classrooms yesterday.
The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development was informed of the incident and the parents of these students have been called in by the school management.
The incident is being investigated by the police and students who are found guilty will be subjected to expulsion and their parents will be required to refund the department of education the full replacement value of the damaged furniture.
The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development has strongly condemned the deplorable action committed by those students.
“Such action of vandalism will not be tolerated and parents of such children will be held fully accountable,” a communiqué from the ministry said.
The accompanying photos show some of the damage to the furniture caused by those students.
