Anse Etoile school celebrates Children’s Day with gospel show |02 June 2017
Pupils at the Anse Etoile primary school started their day yesterday by praising and thanking God in a gospel show for giving them the courage to go to school as well as the strength to continue their studies.
The show was held at the Anse Etoile community centre, where all the students gathered along with their teachers and parents.
The school’s head teacher Daniella Antat stressed on the importance for pupils to take time to appreciate everything they have, and give thanks to God for the opportunity to celebrate their day, something many children around the world are not able to do for many reasons.
“We wanted to organise something special for the children; we decided to put God first by thanking him for providing us with everything we have today. Also the children were able to reflect on their life as children, and why they should have faith in God. So the day started with some gospel songs and prayers,” Ms Antat said.
After the gospel show the children were able to enjoy themselves by taking part in different kinds of activities the school had organised.
