Jahrimba & Ghetto Souljahz release ‘Douler Lo Zot’ double album |02 February 2017

Jahrimba (Richard Marimba) & Ghetto Souljahz have released the most anticipated album from the singer entitled ‘Douler Lo Zot’.

The sixth album by Jahrimba was released in December last year to commemorate his 20 years in the music industry since he started with the famous group Ragga Blastaz.

The album is a compilation of 28 tracks featuring famed artists such as Philip Toussaint, Reuben, Extra Big and other up and coming ones.

Jahrimba’s music is a mix of Ragga Dancehall and roots Reggae, and the artist is inspired by such great music legends as Uroy, Shabba Ranks, Bob Marley and Yellow Man.

Jahrimba has been almost absent from the local music scene since releasing ‘Koumsa Ki Nou Kontan’ in 2014.

The newly released double album CD talks about everyday life and gorgeous Creole girls.

“For me to release a new album depends on the market and if I’m financially ready to invest. The double CD album comprises 28 tracks with powerful lyrics. Since I left Ragga Blastaz I have grownbut my principles stay the same as a solo artist,” he said.

All the songs on Jahrimba’s sixth album have been musically arranged, programmed, recorded and mixed by Herrence (Extra Big) Etienne at Extra Big Sound Seychelles.

Jahrimba also wants to thank everyone who have contributed to make this album a total success.

“I want to thank God Almighty for being there for me. Big up to Ti Bizou, Danny & Marlon, Marcus, Ian, Ross, Peless, Jude, Rhamza, Mike Rasta, Syla Brothers, Ti Gil, Emmanuelle, Johaness, Tru Vibes Dj’s, DJ 4Key, DJ Mervin, among others,” he said.

The album can be purchased at the usual outlets on Mahé, Kot Dan Enterprise. On Praslin, fans can get their copies at Ah-Yun at Baie Ste Anne.

‘Douler Lo Zot’ costs R200 in the shops and R150 if you buy it from Jahrimba in person.
