The Seychelles Centennial Women Lions Club is organising a fund raising fun walk on Saturday

From the Paradis des Enfants, those talking part in the walk will proceed to the IDC car park and return to the starting point.
“The walk is meant to be fun for all and hence the short route,” says a spokesperson for the club.
On return to the playground, participants and their families can enjoy a wide range of activities like water slides, bouncing castle, henna, book stall, face painting and enjoy the mouthwatering food that will be on sale.
“The club members are determined to make it a fun event and raise funds which will be used for the various community projects that they have planned for the year,” the spokesperson adds.
Registration fee per family is R250 only (number of participants, unlimited).
The first five finishers will receive attractive prizes.
More information about the event can be obtained from Uma Ramani, 2nd Vice- President, Event Coordinator for this project. Her contact details are Tel : 2531105 or email: grocers-ops@email.sc
Since its inception in June 2016, the club and its 30 women members have been very swift in planning their activities for the Lionistic year June 2016 to May 2017.
The ladies assisted the Ministry of Home Affairs in collaboration with the National Drugs Enforcement Agency (NDEA) in the drug and alcohol abuse screening programme in July and August 2016.
In September the blood transfusion unit received the club’s assistance in the form of a blood donation drive that saw 62 donors come forward to donate blood.
Saturday’s fun walk will form part of their activities for the month of October.
