Airtel rewards and recognises dedicated staff |08 August 2016

Hubert Lajoie is the employee of the year (2015-2016) at Airtel Seychelles.

Mr Lajoie was announced the employee of the year (2015-2016) during a small ceremony at Airtel Seychelles’ headquarters, Providence on Friday afternoon, in front of his mother Jeanne Lajoie, daughter Lianne Lajoie and partner Audrey Fred.

Hubert Lajoie was really honoured to have been awarded employee of the year (2015-2016).

“It is truly a blessing to have been rewarded employee of the year. Working at Airtel Seychelles can be challenging, but we are a family. And I thank my mum, daughter and partner for being present on that joyful occasion,” he said.

As employee of the year, Mr Lajoie received R5000 and a trophy from Airtel Seychelles, a certificate of recognition, a celebration cake, a bottle of champagne, R500 from R&T, R500 from Robin Sullivan, R1000 from Gary Camille, bottle of wine from Bakti Builders, R1000 from Mr Delorie, day trip for two from Fregate Island and a crate of beer from GS Pillay.

Present at the ceremony were the managing director of Airtel Seychelles Amadou Dina, the human resources director Maria Pouponneau, along with other staff of the company.

During the ceremony other employees were also recognised for their hard work and motivation. Three Airtel Seychelles staff were also rewarded for being employee of the month (April, May, June) and they are: Eroll Belle from Network Department (April); Daniel Savy from Finance Department (May) and Burgitta from Marketing Department (June 2016).

There was also a Gold Award, which went to Burgitta and her National Show committee, participants and volunteers. They were rewarded with R10,000.

Also Tahareem Khan was recognised for closing the Etisalat agreement. She was awarded a certificate and R2000.

The team with the highest engagement scores for the year 2015-2016 was also rewarded. First place went to the financial reporting team, second place went to the marketing and CSD core team, and the switch department took third place.

Other employees were also rewarded during the ceremony.

Mr Dina stated that such award is to help recognise the hard work and devotion that the staff of Airtel Seychelles put in their work.

“Let us strive for success. We have different departments but we need to all work together and build a strong relationship so that Airtel Seychelles can deliver more to our clients in Seychelles,” he said.
