Steve Lalande appointed to Eastern African Standby Force Secretariat |22 July 2016
Seychellois Steve Lalande has been appointed to the post of ‘Head of Civilian Component’ in the Eastern African Standby Force Secretariat (EASFSEC) representing ten countries.
This vacancy was offered to the government of Seychelles, whereby Mr Lalande was successful through the selection process due to his vast experience working with inter-governmental organisations (IGOs) and civil society.
He has wide knowledge in Peace Support Operations and holds Master Degrees in Peace & Security Studies and Business Administration. He will formally take his post at the EASF headquarters, Nairobi, Kenya by the end of August 2016, where he will be based for a period of three years.
