Miss Seychelles’ sports day selects Miss Sports |10 May 2016

The 12 contestants taking part in this year's Miss Seychelles…Another World beauty pageant had their sports day at Stad Linite on Saturday.

This event forms part of preparations within their training and grooming schedule.

The contestants are also attending fitness sessions at the Tropical Heat Gym in Victoria. The gym’s owner Michael Etienne who is the groomer for fitness and gym exercises for the contestants, also co-coordinated the sports day.

The contestants took part in several sports activities such as 100m and 400m track races, sack race, egg & spoon race, long jump, tug-of-war, a 4x100m relay race, among many others.

They started off by warming up with exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups and stretches.

Among the 12 contestants, a Miss Seychelles’ Sports was selected by a panel of jury and the winner will be announced on the night of the pageant.

The event was watched by family and friends of the contestants, senior Seychelles Tourism Board staff and other groomers preparing the girls for this year's beauty pageant which will be held on Saturday May 28 at the International Conference Seychelles of Seychelles (ICCS).

Tickets for the pageant are on sale at R700 each at the STB head office at Espace Building and at the STB Information Office at Independence House.
