Kis opens outlet at Providence |05 March 2016

Kis Distribution ltee, a local company specialising in imports and distribution, has opened a wholesale outlet at Providence.

Strategically located in Providence, next to Laxmi and the Maritime Training Centre, the shop is open six days a week from Monday to Saturday, and provides customers the opportunity of not only on- spot shopping, but also a long-term partnership.

The outlet showcases prestigious brands represented by the company. Kis has partnered with Bidvest Food Exports South Africa to distribute their popular brands, namely Chipkins and Crown National, offering bakery solutions. The whole range of both Chipkins and Crown National, from basic ingredients, spices, seasoning, and casing to equipments is being offered at the showroom.

The managing director of Kis, Darwin Athanase, said Kis started about three years ago.

“We are a small company with three years of experience. We import and distribute items such as spices, seasonings, casings and many more. Today we will represent Bidvest in Seychelles, it is a milestone for the company, and we are ready for such relationship,” he said.

Mario de Oliveira, who represents Bidvest Africa, said Bidvest is a one-stop supply solution distributing wholesale food, fresh produce and meat to the food service and catering industry.

“We access all major national and many international brands, our products range remains current and diverse, and continues to successfully meet the needs of our customers. Across our division, our extensive range includes over 56,000 food service products,” he said.

He added that Bidvest had been in Seychelles for many years, working with FoodPro.

“We wanted to help the growing needs of those kinds of product in Seychelles, and help our customers, small businesses, including the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA) students,” he added.
