Sky Chef Servair donates to children living in orphanages |19 December 2015

Sky Chef Servair has brought Christmas cheer to around 25 children living in orphanages by organising a party for them and making a wonderful donation to the homes.

Sky Chef Servair, with the help of the Makarios Fund, has donated R20,000 to Foyer de la Solitude, Foyer de Nazareth, St Elizabeth Convent and the President’s Village.

The ceremony took place earlier this week at the Sky Chef Servair office at Pointe Larue.

It was the chair holder of Sky Chef Servair Georgia Van-Heyste who handed over the cheques to the orphanages.

This was in the presence of chief executive Neville Morel, the director of the Seychelles Children’s Foundation Jules Hoareau, Bishop French Chang-Him, among other guests.

Expressing his gratitude to the Sky Chef Servair company for this wonderful donation, Mr Hoareau said that Christmas is a time for sharing and caring.

“Christmas is a time where people come together and share their appreciation of each other. Sky Chef Servair and the Makarios Fund have proudly supported the orphanages. Such donations are much appreciated,” he said.

Sky Chef was founded by the late Panos Papakokkinos who was a reputed businessman since his arrival here in 1971. He was the chief executive of Sky Chef.

He was appointed honorary consul for Cyprus here in 1980 and for Greece in 1987.

Mr Papakokkinos was the founding member and representative of Cyprus for the Makarios Fund and was also a member of Nouvobanq and Jj Spirit Foundation boards.
