CWS launches first loyalty Privilez card in Seychelles |16 September 2015

Cable Points subscribers can now use their points at different business outlets on Mahé and Praslin to pay for their purchases.

This follows the launch by Cable & Wireless (CWS) of the first loyalty Privilez card in Seychelles.

The launch took place at the Eden Bleu hotel on Saturday afternoon in the presence of the Minister for Finance, Trade and the Blue Economy Jean-Paul Adam, the company’s chief executive (CEO) Charles Hammond, among other invited guests, faithful CWS customers and partners.

Mr Hammond said that the loyalty Privilez card came about when the company first launched the Cable Points in 2011.

Through the Cable Points, prepaid and postpaid customers gain points whenever they settle their bills or top up their CWS services. It is a loyalty programme that rewards customers for using the company’s services such as making phone calls, sending SMS as well as using mobile internet. The more the customers use the services, the more points they gain.

Now the Privilez card will allow customers to use their Cable Points at a number of selected outlets to pay for their purchases. The points can also be used as cash discounts on products.

The company’s marketing communication manager Muriel Morgan said customers can earn Cable Points by using either their prepaid or postpaid CWS account. They can after redeem their points either at a customer service centre, in return for CWS loyalty items, or just by dialling #155#.

She added that all Cable Points subscribers are eligible for a loyalty card, which comes in three types:  Platinum, Gold and Silver, depending on the number of points earned.

CWS has partnered with 27 businesses with which its customers can use their loyalty Privilez card to do their transactions. They are ISPC Supermarket, Au Bon Valer, Seysolar, Advantage Cars, The Maharajas, Bravo Restaurant, La Pirogue Restaurant, La Pirogue Lodge (Praslin), Le Duc de Praslin, Café des Arts (Praslin), Tapas (Praslin), Sacos (Praslin, Mahé), Deepam (Praslin, Mahé), D’Offay Pharmacy, Euro Medical, Italdent, Stile Italiano, Kellies hair dresser, Bata, Logo, Smart Living, Home2Office, Samsung, DIY, Federal, SeaChell and Victoria Petrol Station.
