Police Communique |16 June 2015
The police have started an investigation into an incident whereby a young man of dark complexion wearing a blue T-shirt entered “Popine” store at Anse Royale on Saturday afternoon and made away with a certain amount of money.
According to the 34-year-old shop assistant the suspect came inside the shop and pretended he needed to change two coins into a ten rupee note.
While the shop assistant was opening the counter, the man grabbed some cash from there amounting to R900, got into a car and drove away.
The police are asking anyone who has any information on this incident to please call the CID office.
