R75,000 bounty for informants still on offer
The police are offering a reward of R75,000 to anyone who might lead them to arrest the persons responsible for the death of Andy Laurence and that of Gina Emmanuel.
The bounty of R75,000 applies to each case, meaning a total of R150,000 will be given out to those who can provide crucial information which could help the police with the arrest and successful prosecution of the culprits in the two cases.
Laurence, a resident of Côte d’Or, Praslin, was found by the roadside during the early morning hours of April 6, 2014, unconscious and injured, in an area within Côte d’Or.
Evidence collected at the time suggested that he had been hit by a vehicle. Laurence, who was flown to Mahé for urgent medical care, died in the Intensive Care Unit of the Seychelles Hospital later that day.
As for Gina Emmanuel, her body was found floating in the sea at English River on January 7 last year. Autopsy reports revealed that Gina was pregnant with a six-month child.
The reports also revealed that her neck was broken, she had suffered brain haemorrhage and was beaten up.
