. Ahmad Arissol stays atop rankingsDominic Arrisol smashed the 40km individual time trial record last weekend while Ahmad Arissol stayed on top in the overall classification table despite not claiming victory in the two races.
In the weekend’s first race on Saturday – a 40km individual time trial which started at Roche Caïman, Dominic Arissol clocked the fastest time of 58 minutes 20.85 seconds (58:20.85), which is a new record.
The old best time of 58:24.001 belonged to Fadi Confiance and he set it on July 13, 2014.
Overall leader Ahmad Arrisol managed to finish in second position with a time of 59:36.66, while Xerxes Larue had to settle for third place after completing the race in 59:50.36.
Classic Design were the top team with an overall time of 3 hours 2 minutes 49 seconds (3h02:49) and Eco Riders finished second 3h06:13.
From Roche Caïman the cyclists pedalled to the Roche Tortue monument via the Providence High Way before heading back to the start line at Roche Caïman. They had to complete three laps.
Last weekend’s second race was the Victoria criterium and it took place on Sunday. The cyclists had to complete 85 laps around the Independence Avenue.
It was Fadi Confiance who won the race this time, finishing in 1h32:41. Francis Louis took second place in 1h33:07 and third place went to Bertrand Lesperance with a time of 1h33:35.
Ahmad Arrisol still leads the standings with 972 points, followed closely by Fadi Confiance with 941 points and Peter Alphonse is third with 863 points.
