ISPC Seychelles opens new branch at Anse Royale |02 July 2014

ISPC Seychelles Supermarket has officially opened a branch at Anse Royale catering for the southern region of Mahé and beyond.

The ISPC Supermarket Anse Royale fresh branch which is strategically situated  on the opposite side of the road at the junction going up to the University of Seychelles, was officially opened last week by the Minister for Finance, Trade and Investment Pierre Laporte.

This was in the presence of the ISPC chief executive Alfred Fourcroy among other guests as well as the franchise manager of the new branch, Warren Thorpe-Fairall and the four all-Seychellois team of the new shop.

The shop is open from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm on Saturday.

Speaking to Nation prior to the opening, Mr Thorpe-Fairall said the new venture -- an investment of over €150,000 in terms of renovation and refurbishment of the building and fitting it with the necessary equipment to the standard required for the tropics -- has taken a little over two months to complete.  

He added that the ISPC is very passionate about product quality and food safety aspects so it always ensures its products never lose their temperature and this through strict measures to maintain the cold chain process.

“Like always we have brought in the best energy efficient refrigeration equipment and our vision is to preserve quality and provide the best products at the best prices and also bring ISPC products closer to the community,” said Mr Thorpe-Fairall.  

Dispelling the perception that ISPC products are too expensive for ordinary Seychellois, Mr Thorpe-Fairall said this not at all true as there  is a large variety of products such as ham, seafood like prawns, cheese among others which are far cheaper than from other selling outlets.

“We are well aware of this perception and we want to change that because  it is not at all true and the Anse Royale branch is a community  supermarket reaching out to the southern region shoppers,” Mr Thorpe-Fairall pointed out.

“Anse Royale as the second town should have enough of everything so   instead of just passing through it to go to Victoria people would stop over and do their purchases,” Mr Thorpe-Fairall said.

With the opening of this new ISPC Seychelles outlet residents of this area will now be able to have access to the approximately 1900 ISPC products references at competitive prices.  
They can choose from a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy, as well as fresh meat products arriving by air four times a week.

ISPC has developed a very wide range of frozen products working with premium international brands and also stocks a variety of Asian and Russian products to please customers.

ISPC developed a unique catalog (mostly on exclusive basis) of some (more than 300 references) of the most famous brands of wine: Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Antinori, Baron de Ladoucette, Ornellaia, Farnese, Nicolas Feuillatte, Louis Moreau, Kanu, Ott, Bottega, Vidal Fleury, Chamarel and it proposes also the « Connoisseur Corner » for fans of Whisky, Gin, Rhum, Tequila, Grappa, Cognac, Armagnac and Vodka fans: more than 200 references.

It is to be noted that the ISPC is the exclusive Heineken dealer in the Seychelles offering some thousands references for the kitchen and dining room.  ISPC Seychelles is also prepared to order for clients’ special events or any special order of kitchen/dining equipment/furniture as well as  decorations and fancy items for special festivities.
