Felicity wins gold in Uganda

Swimmer Felicity Passon has won one gold medal and a silver on the first day of the African Swimming Confederation (Cana) Zones 3 and 4 swimming short course championships being held in Kampala, Uganda,

Passon won the medals on Thursday and results were communicated to Sports Nation by her mother Lydvine Passon who is at the competition as an official.

She won the gold medal in the 100m backstroke event after she finished in a time of 1 minute 08.90 seconds (1:08.90). Her silver medal was won earlier in the 800m freestyle, where she clocked a time of 9:44.10 to finish in second place behind Ugandan swimmer Kimberly Hind, who finished in 9:42.30.

Sports Nation could not get any comments from the Seychelles Swimming Association (SSA) as one of its members informed us that they had not received the information yet.
The championship ends tomorrow.
