Education minister visits La Misère primary school |02 April 2014
The Minister for Education Macsuzy Mondon recently visited La Misère primary school during one of her routine ministerial school visits.
La Misère primary having had a change in headship for the new academic school year 2014, it was the ideal opportunity for the minister to meet with the newly appointed head teacher Fatma Bibi.
The minister held tête-à-tête discussions with Ms Bibi on her school and how she is coping with her new responsibilities whereby matters that needed the ministry’s attention were highlighted by the head teacher.
Incidentally, the minister’s visit coincided with one of La Misère school council’s meetings and she had the opportunity to hold brief discussions with members and personally expressed her appreciation for all the work they are undertaking at the school.
With her call for greater ‘Collective engagement towards quality education for all’ for 2014, the minister commended the La Misère school council for their pro-activeness and support provided to the school.
She also expressed her appreciation to the benefactors who have helped the school during the previous years.
