Seychellois is new marketing manager at Maia resort |11 March 2011

This was announced by Elke Menz, regional director sales and marketing, of the Southern Sun Middle East and Indian Ocean.

Mrs Hoareau holds a master’s degree in business administration and is well known in the Seychelles tourism industry under her maiden name of Marie.

Most recently she held the position of marketing manager at Creole Travel Services after holding the same post at Mason's Travel. She gained her previous experience in senior positions in both operations and marketing and sales in various hotels in Seychelles including Denis Private Island and at the Hotel L'Archipel on Praslin.

The Seychelles Tourism Board has welcomed the appointment, which is fully operational from March 1. Its chief executive Alain St Ange said he congratulates Frederic Vidal, the resort’s general manager, for appointing a Seychellois national to market his resort and in so doing selling Seychelles.
