Death of Prime Minister of Barbados-President Michel sends message of condolence |26 October 2010

“It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the passing away of Honourable David John Howard Thompson, Prime Minister of Barbados.

“The people of Barbados and the Caribbean community have lost a leader and faithful servant.

“In this moment of grief, the government and people of Seychelles join me in expressing to you, to the family of the late Prime Minister D.J.H. Thompson, to the government and people of Barbados our sympathy and condolences.”

Prime Minister Thompson, who had been ill with pancreatic cancer, died at his home on Saturday aged 48.
