British couple relive Seychelles wedding – 25 years on |04 June 2010
Ray and Judi Bullock arrived in the country on Saturday May 22, the exact date of their anniversary.
The couple were married in 1985 in a civil ceremony at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort after Mrs Bullock convinced her future husband to make Seychelles their wedding destination.
“Judi was particularly looking for an exotic and romantic location, but one which was affordable,” said Mr Bullock.
“While there are a number of such locations on the planet, Seychelles seemed to be calling her. Whether you want to call it instinct or intuition, I think she got it right.”
To celebrate this milestone the couple spent 10 days here, meeting Vivian Labiche, the registrar for their wedding, and also spending a few nights at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay.
They also stayed at the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa on Mahe, Labriz Silhouette and La Reserve Hotel on Praslin.
Helping to make the Bullocks’ 25th anniversary even more memorable were Air Seychelles, who gave the couple discounted Pearl Class tickets, and Creole Travel Services, who provided VIP transfers on arrival as well as transfers for the rest of their stay, while the Seychelles Tourism Board hosted them for lunch at the Marie-Antoinette Restaurant.
