Western Union and Nouvobanq introduce ‘outbound’ money transfer service in Seychelles |10 May 2010
Nouvobanq is the first bank to provide the Western Union® Money TransferSM service in the Seychelles. The aim is to create value for its customers and provide them access to a fast, reliable and convenient money transfer service across the country.
The Western Union Money Transfer service will be available to both account and non-account holders of the bank. Through the relationship with Western Union, Nouvobanq will be able to reach customers during their normal banking routine.
Residents in the areas where selected Nouvobanq locations are situated will benefit from a convenient, fast and reliable service enabling them to receive and now send money between family and friends around the world. Western Union does not require bank accounts for the use of its services.

The Nouvobanq is a joint venture between the Seychelles Government and the Standard Chartered Bank and was established in July of 1991. The bank currently operates two retail banking outlets in Mahe and Praslin in Seychelles.
