French travel agents here to enjoy sales prize |03 February 2010
The agents – whose visit has been coordinated by Air Seychelles, Air France, the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) and Constance Hotels – will get to know more about our tourism product and improve their knowledge of how to sell these islands in the French market.
They won their holiday trip after being chosen as the best sellers of Seychelles as a holiday destination during the special six-month challenge.
During that time they also attended training workshops to promote and sell Seychelles which were organised by the STB’s office in Paris.
Air Seychelles’ general manager for Paris and Europe, Gilles Gosselin, and the Paris-based director of sales for Thomas Cook, Pascal Brillouet, are accompanying the travel agents on this trip.
Last year, Air Seychelles and the STB hosted more than 200 French travel agents on educational tours to Seychelles.
“The results of these educational trips are already very positive,” said Mr Gosselin.
“Through aggressive advertising, training workshops and other commercial activities, our sales have increased and our share of the French market has increased by 10%.”
