Private sector firms learn how to win tenders |28 July 2009

Representatives of small and medium-size firms involved in selling goods or providing services met to find out about the subject at a business opportunity seminar on Saturday.

“Such seminars are being held with a view to stimulate economic development and to help small and medium-size enterprises in the Comesa region at large,” said director for procurement oversight Marie-Nella Nancy.

“Those taking part should now be able to formulate possible solutions to play a more active role in the procurement process.”

The seminar, held at the International Conference Centre, is part of Comesa’s project to enhance procurement reforms and was organised by the International Law Institute and the Procurement Oversight Unit.
