Also present were a number of cabinet ministers, top civil servants, the college’s board members and its sponsors.

Jean Preira, who was following part 3 of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants course, won the President’s Cup, which was presented to her by Mr Belmont.

Dr Anne Gedeon, who followed the 2005-2006 diploma in management course, won the best overall academic performer’s award and Maryline Jean-Louis was awarded the newly launched Guy Morel Award.

SIM chief executive Daniella Larue noted that the 52 graduates were joining more than 10,000 who had gone through the institute over the last 30 years.
