Seychelles Tourism Academy cooperation with Constance Academy Mauritius-Second batch of STA lecturers on training

Mr Joubert with the group who left for Mauritius on SaturdayThe Principal of the STA, Flavien Joubert, is determined to make good use of the cooperation to help upgrade the skills and practical knowledge of technical lecturers and staff of the STA.

He believes that these exposures will help the staff to be more efficient, more professional for effective performance in the new STA.

Apart from attachment at the Academy, they will also spend one week at the Constance Belle Mare Plage and the Constance Prince Maurice.

The group comprises Murla Marie (Head of Studies, Food and Beverage Department), Natasha Omblime (Course Leader Housekeeping), Slona Francourt (Lecturer Housekeeping), and Paklina Bistoe (Laundry and Housekeeping Supervisor).

They are accompanied by Mr Joubert, who will spend one week with the Principal, Management and staff of the Sir Gaetan Duval Hotel School who have agreed to cooperate and help with the new Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management Course at STA which will be accredited by the International Hospitality and Tourism Management College “ITM” of Austria.

The first semester for the Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management Course begins in March 2008 at the STA and it will be a 3-year full-time course with 10 months of work attachment in the industry.
