Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant in pictures |20 October 2007

Our photographer, Patrick Joubert, took pictures of the historic event, some of which we have published here.

The event saw former Miss Intercontinental, Katarina Monava crown the new beauty queen in a show that is now being shown to 280 million viewers through Fashion TV.

Miss Korea, Han Na Yoo, was declared the first runner-up while Miss Margarita Islands, Emilie Fernandez became the second runner-up.

Miss Seychelles, Solana Domingue, was among the 16 finalists and got the best evening wear’s award, while Miss Venezuela, Iselmar Burgos Reyes, was named Miss Photogenic, and Miss Kenya, Mary Katana was declared Miss Congeniality while Miss Hungary, Ildiko Bona, got the “Best body” award as Miss Columbia, Siad Char Tinoco took home the Best national costume prize.

A number of Seychellois performers, offered different shows, including a team from the School of Dance while Michelle Dan Ally sang, “Seychelles, another world,” as Dezil offered their international hit, San Ou,, as the group’s only female singer, Sandra Esparon, sang a new number entitled, “Danse sur la plage.”

Co-master of ceremony Keith Tynes surprised the audience with three numbers.
