Snoc joins SFAU in ‘Parents Welcome Festival’

The day was organised by the Seychelles National Olympic Committee (Snoc) in collaboration with the Sports for All Unit (SFAU) within the National Sports Council (NSC).

Sponsored by the International Olympic committee (IOC), the festival was officially launched by Snoc president Antonio Gopal in the presence of the Minister for the Arts Culture and Sports, Sylvette Pool.

The participants, who were mainly members of the obesity clubs and Olympic clubs coming from different schools, engaged themselves in various exercises and games during the first part of the festival which took place at the SMB Exhibition Hall. During the second part of the programme, the participants spent the afternoon in the swimming pool in a more relaxed atmosphere following the intense morning exercises.

A spokesperson for the organising committee said that they are planning to bring the same activity to Praslin. He also asked parents to encourage their children to participate.

Also last Saturday, Marie-Ange Dick, Francis Remie, Williana Dubois, Frank Marengo, Robert Auguste, Helmy Riage and Dorothy Isidore were awarded the International Olympic Committee certificates in recognition of their contribution towards Sports For All in Seychelles.
