With the finish line of the tiring race in sight, Sinon, 26, sprinted to the finish line and he was followed home by 20-year-old teammate Louis. They both clocked 3 hours 28 minutes 50 seconds.
The win came in the absence of team leader Hudson Mathieu, winner of the first two races and who is competing in the XVIII Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia.
“It was an interesting race and a good win for me. I’m looking forward for more wins this season,” Sinon told Sports Nation.
Third place went to Roy Mougal of Vélo Club de Mahé with a time of 3h28:58 and St Francis’ Alex Savy finished fourth in 3h30:05.

Saturday’s race started in front of the Anse Aux Pins district administration and the cyclists – junior and senior – pedaled to Cascade, Brillant, Plaisance, Mont Fleuri before making a U-turn at the Unity roundabout to take the Bois de Rose Avenue, Providence Highway, Pointe Larue, Anse Aux Pins, Fairy Land, Anse Royale, Sweet Escott, back to Fairy Land and Anse Aux Pins. They covered this distance three times.
Vélo Club de Mahé finished as the best team with a cumulative time of 10h33:26 and Mohan Shopping Centre finished second with 10h33:56.
With only two cyclists – Alex Savy and Andy Rose (eighth overall in 3h41:59) – completing the distance, St Francis did not feature in the team ranking.
It must be noted that for a team to run for the team ranking, at least three cyclists must finish the race.
