The company has introduced new rates for the peak, off-peak and super off-peak hours.
Subscribers can now dial up the Internet at 60 cents per 6 minutes from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. Monday to Sunday in the peak hours.
The new rate for off-peak is 50 cents for 6 minutes from 7.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. Monday to Sunday. During the super off-peak hours, from 11.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. Monday to Sunday, subscribers can surf the net for only 30 cents per 6 minutes.
Margaret Zarine, the manager of IP, PSTN Products & Services at Cable & Wireless, said the company "is excited to offer the most competitive Internet dial up rates in the country. Our residential segment will in particular reap the benefits of our new off-peak and super off-peak rates."
She said these reductions go to show "the company's commitment to the Seychellois people, and comes well in time for the festive season."
The new rates are inclusive of GST and exclude all other rates levied by Internet Service Providers.
In the meantime, the company is also carrying a promotion giving customers who pay their Cable bills the opportunity to win cash prizes up to R7,000.
The promotion-cum-competition is targeting all fixed-line residential (including fixed cellular) and mobile subscription customers (excluding business customers).
All customers have to do is simply pay their October and November bills in full, by the respective 'Payment Due Dates,' and they will automatically enter a lottery draw. Five winners will win R2,000 each and a star prize of R,5000 will be given to one grand prize winner.
Usman Saadat, the chief executive officer of CWS, said that this was yet "another explosive offer that gives our residential and mobile customers the fantastic chance of winning more cash for their Christmas shopping..."
Winners of the draw will be announced from December 19 to 23.
