Cable & Wireless adds free talktime to prepaid cards |01 August 2005

All prepaid customers topping up with a R100 card will receive an extra R10 free talktime whilst those topping up the R200 card will receive an extra R30 free talktime. The extra value will be automatically included in all R100 and R200 Cable Prepaid cards, so customers will instantly receive the additional value the moment they top up.

To coincide with the launch, Cable & Wireless have re-designed all of its Cable Prepaid cards. The front of the R100 and R200 cards will be labelled “Extra Value Cards” and carry advertising from Emirates Airline, a close partner of Cable & Wireless and its prepaid service. Emirates advertising will also feature on the R50 cards; however, this will not contain extra value.

Cable & Wireless will continue to sell Cable Prepaid cards with the previous designs, as there are a number of these still in stock. Once stock is depleted, only the new design cards will be available on the market. The company reassures its prepaid customers that all R100 and R200 denominations, regardless of the front design, will contain extra value as of Monday.

 The Chief Executive Officer of Cable & Wireless Mr Usman Saadat said with the company it is the customers who stand to win all the time. He said the company was responding to feedback received from the market, which has shown that customers appreciate more value from their purchases.
