Petanque: Singapore International-Local players all out to give it their best shot |03 September 2004

The players who have made the trip are Bernard Chang-Time, Roland Renaud, Joseph Charles, Auguste Louise, Antoine Botsoie, Ivan Anacoura (senior), Benny and Fabien Chang-Time (junior). They are being accompanied by Linda Sinon. Who is acting as head of delegation.

Speaking to Sports Nation  recently, Bernard Chang-Time said that the players had been training hard for the competition and he was convinced that they would give a very good account of themselves in Singapore.

"We have been participating in the competition for over six years and we know what to expect there. The players are motivated and I have a feeling that we will do well in Singapore," said Chang-Time, who added that for the first time a junior team from Seychelles are participating in the tournament.

"The two junior players are new to this level of competition, but anyhow I hope they fare well as this will be a good experience for them," he said.

On Monday during one of their training sessions, the petanque players received a new batch of T-shirts from Atlas Computer Services.
