Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the biggest scam of this century |10 December 2025
Around the world people are falling head over hills for this deceptive money-making scam. Everywhere you turn nowadays people are mentioning AI. There is no such thing as AI per se, we have mechanical movement powered by a fuel or a computer software programme powered by electricity or batteries. Reasoning is a chemical process when humans and animals use a chemical reaction in their brain to effect thinking. This process cannot be placed in a robot’s or machine’s mechanism which would allow the machine to think for itself. I do not believe that we will ever achieve putting this chemical process in machines for machines to think for themselves, like in science fiction films, let us get real. Humans and animals only can think and we do not know whether insects can think.
Petrol in a car provides the power for movement and software algorithms running in a piece of electronic gadget like a computer or robot or mobile phone powered by batteries delivers the functions already included in the gadget and nothing else and certainly nothing new. Another example is a torch with charged batteries will produce light, a watch or clock with a wound-up spring or batteries will keep accurate time, a train engine powered by diesel fuel or electricity will reach very high speed, a computer with software codes will work in accordance with the man-written software algorithms (programme/s) running in the computer and nothing else.
There is no artificial intelligence involved because none of these devices can think for themselves, or create their own intelligence or work without instructions and power and they can only perform the tasks the designer has designed the device/s to do. They do not have a brain of their own to think in any way shape or form. Let us get away from science fiction into reality. Mankind builds computers to carry out specific tasks only and the computer cannot replace the mind of a human being, not in a trillion years.
We are being misled to think that humans have invented machines, devices, computers or robots that can think for themselves and make voluntary decisions. This is a scam and some people are already making a fortune with this scam. We can say we have a first-class example of so-called AI in Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles. Our clock tower, in Victoria used to run on steam (water vapour) and was built in England in 1903. In 1928 electricity replaced the steam and it is still working today. Is this AI which is 122 years old and still going? What about Big Ben in London, which is 166 years old, is that AI? We are being deceived to believe something new has been invented by the technological minded people in our current world. Some people, especially in the media, who do not stop to think, are going round saying AI has just been invented and it is going to change the way we live, the way we work even the way we think and so on, which is absolute nonsense, they are regurgitating what they have heard and talking unadulterated rubbish. They have not done their research before they open their mouth or go to print.
Some companies in the Middle East are selling shares in AI as though something new has just been invented. We are being conned to part with our money investing in so called AI driven products as if someone somewhere has invented something new. Be aware of this scam that is proliferating in the world today. Stop for a moment and think about it and you will understand the scam. AI is not a product, it is a scam.
In one of my previous jobs, in England, I had 12 software and hardware engineers in my team whose jobs were to write software programmes for computerised telephone systems which delivered telecommunications services of voice and data. In those days the computer worked just like the human mind. The computer could only carry out one task at a time which is known as “serial processing”. Then with the development in micro-processors, “parallel processing” became possible using multiple microprocessors. This is where the computer will carry out more than one task at a time, but because the human sub-conscious mind can operate extremely fast, leads us to believe that we can think on a parallel basis, but we cannot.
Today, parallel processing has taken computing to a different level where the software can now make the machine deliver multiple tasks. It can make a robot walk, talk and do other tasks simultaneously as long as there is electricity or batteries to support the software and hardware or you can use clockworks mechanisms like in clocks. Today, software engineers can set about writing software programmes for machines to be multi-tasking. At the same time the new computer chips, microprocessors, are enabling computing to take place at a very high speed but the new chips are made of rare raw materials found only in some parts of the world. Russia is invading its surrounding neighbours like Ukraine to obtain these rare minerals. Most computer chips are made of silicon, a special kind of sand which is not readily available, not even in Seychelles, but the new chips are made of gallium, germanium and gold is used for the contacts while neodymium is used in capacitors and dysprosium is used in magnets all of which can be found in modern computers, but they are rare minerals and humans are killing each other to have access to these rare minerals.
In days gone by companies had huge mainframe computers powered by the office electricity and batteries were used to provide back-up in the event of power cuts and a huge room with backed-up aircon plants was required to house the mainframe, like the IBM System/370. As semiconductors got smaller and smaller and computer chips got faster the size of the mainframe computer got reduced considerably to arrive at what we all use today which is the Laptop Computer. My first IBM Desk Top computer in 1973 was huge and took up half of my desk space unlike today’s Laptops which are small and can be carried around. Of course, nowadays we also have the small Tablet which includes a mobile phone.
Despite the fact that the computer has got smaller and faster, it still cannot think of anything new unless the information has been written in the software algorithms running in the computer. New computers run on Programming Languages such as Python, R, Java, C++ and Julia. None of these programming languages can make the computer think for itself like humans do, so where is AI? We are being deceived about AI as though we are stupid. The computer can however make complex calculations that the human mind cannot do and execute complex tasks based on information already programmed into the computer’s microprocessors, it can process information quicker than humans and it does not sleep at night but needs power and good software programmes. So where does AI come in?
You need a computer to write computer programmes which work on a compiled executable Machine Code made up of a series of Os (zeros) and 1s (ones) which is not human readable. This programme tells the computer what to do and the instructions are called software algorithms. The computer casing, screen, microprocessors and other electronics are called hardware. The hardware, you can see and touch but the software cannot be touched but can be displayed on the same computer screen or another connected screen or another computer. A computer programmer can write software programmes to make the computer carry out certain tasks only, not whatever he/she wants. He/she cannot make the computer transfer money on his/her bank account but if he/she has access codes to the bank’s computer and can infiltrate the password barrier then he/she can commit a crime.
Companies have been set up in the Middle East to attract investors in AI trying to imitate what happened in Silicon Valley, California in 1971 when Silicon Valley was named because of the high concentration of companies involved in silicon-based computer industry, now companies in the Middle East show a couple of robots moving around to support their marketing of this scam called AI. They make it sound as though AI is new and is tomorrow’s technology. We had robots moving around in the 50s, and in the STAR WARS films.
Do you recall not long ago we were introduced to aeroplanes which do not require a pilot to fly the plane. Would you get on a plane that had no pilot? Errors are made when there are pilots and the plane crashes, now, we are told the computer is safer, really? Can you also visualise hundreds of cars on the road without drivers not crashing into each other? In which world? Now we have flying cars and Credit Cards which, do not need a signature and bank fraud is at an all-time high, 7 trillion dollars in 2024.
AI is fake and its bubble will burst soon and will bring the banking system crashing down and we will not have access to our money in the bank which means we will not have money to buy food to feed our family and ourselves when the banks have crashed.
Hope you will not now allow yourself to think that the computer industry has created a new product that will change our life and presenters in the media should do more research before they open their mouth about AI. People use the term AI because they think it makes them look intelligent and smart. It is the scam of the century, cadet quaestio.
