More teachers in Seychelles now hold university degrees, NBS report shows |08 October 2025

The latest education statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, compiled in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, reveal a marked improvement in teacher qualifications across Seychelles over the past decade.

The number of teaching staff in state schools holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree has increased by 88 percent since 2014, reflecting continued efforts to professionalise the education sector.
