Team Seychelles return with 158 medals from WADF Asia championship

Team Seychelles returned to the country yesterday morning with a total of 158 medals from the 2025 Maikawa Cup World Artistic Dance Federation (WADF) all Asia championship held from May 1 to 3, 2025.

The delegation was welcomed at the Seychelles International airport by the secretary general for the Seychelles National Institute for Culture, Heritage and the Arts, David Andre.

The championship, held at Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province in China, saw the participation of 48 dancers from four dance institutions namely School of Dance of Seychelles, Artistic Dance Factory Seychelles (ADF), Emergency Crew and Diamonds Dance Class. Altogether the four institutions brought home a total of 77 gold medals, 48 silver and 33 bronze medals.
