  •          Lienal Bibi joins the youngest players’ list to feature and score in a World Cup

Other than Seychelles entering the book of records for becoming the first African country to host the Fédération Internationale de Football Association Beach Soccer World Cup, individually, some members of the team have equally inscribed their names in the history book.

Prior to the beginning of the Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup, young Diguois Lienal Bibi was already in the event’s record book for being one of the youngest players to ever feature, while yesterday against Japan, he improved his status by becoming one the youngest players to ever score in the competition.

Bibi, at only 16 years, scored a brace in Seychelles’ third and last group A match against Japan at the Paradise Arena, making not only his native land La Digue, but the whole country proud, despite losing 2-10.
