Senegal Secure Opening Win Over Spain

Senegal delivered a standout defensive performance to claim a dominant victory over Spain in their opening match of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup™. Veteran goalkeeper Al Seyni Ndiaye was exceptional, repeatedly denying the Spanish attack—and even adding a goal of his own.

Sidy Fall added Senegal’s third goal early in the final period, bulldozing past two Spanish defenders to head the ball home. Although Spain finally got on the scoreboard through an Antonio Mayor free-kick, Senegal quickly restored their two-goal lead thanks to Mamadou Sylla, sealing a memorable win.
