Smart Africa CEO praises Seychelles for strong ICT progress

The chief executive and director general of Smart Africa, Lacina Koné, paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Ahmed Afif at State House yesterday morning.

During the visit, Mr Koné praised Seychelles for its impressive progress in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). Mr Koné said the visit was an opportunity to learn from Seychelles and to explore ways in which the rest of Africa could benefit from its example.

“The reason we came this time is really to learn from Seychelles in terms of ICT. Most reports show that the indices are very green in terms of ICT,” said Mr Koné.
