Mercenary’s new entry ‘Touzour la’ goes straight to number one

Mercenary’s new entry ‘Touzour la’ went straight to number one on Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation’s (SBC) Paradise FM chart last week, a clear indication that the artist’s latest album titled ‘Antidot’ released earlier this month will be a favourite among local fans.

In fact, two other songs – ‘Kastrol’ and ‘Pti Genger’ featuring Red I –, made up the top five on the chart, in third and fifth spots respectively.

He is followed close behind by another reggae star – Ambitious - with three songs on the chart taken from his album ‘Lazistis Jah’, released in December last year.

After dominating the chart with five songs, the number has gone down to three with ‘Kontan Ou Parey’ featuring Farhine dropping from number one spot to second position after spending five weeks on the chart; ‘Nouvo Ladres’ has maintained fourth spot after six weeks on the chart; while ‘Kontan Dan Bet’ featuring Keartsea lost some ground from number three to six last week after four weeks on the chart.

Isis & Isham also slipped from second to seventh spot with their song titled ‘7 Desanm’ while ‘Lapli’ by Farhine is making a slow climb after only two weeks on the chart, from 10th position to eighth.

 ‘Trophy’ by Alfa featuring Keartsea which entered at number five slipped to number nine, similar to Jones Camille’s ‘Ekout mon Lapriyer’ which lost ground from sixth spot to 10th place after only three weeks on the chart.

Fans are invited to vote for their best songs on SBC’s Paradise FM’s shows, namely Tripotaz from 10am to 11am, The Cruize from 2pm to 3pm and between 4.45pm and 6pm.
