LDS party donates R600,000 to December 7 Disaster Relief Fund |16 December 2023

Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS) has made a donation towards the December 7 Disaster Relief Fund.

The party raised R600,000 through contributions from the party, the LDS Women’s Association (LDSWA) and the LDS members of the National Assembly Caucus.

The presentation was made yesterday morning to Minister Naadir Hassan at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance, National Planning and Trade, at Liberty House.

LDS was represented by the Party leader, Roger Mancienne; secretary general Gervais  Henrie; leader of government business, Bernard Georges; LDSWA chairperson, Rosie Bistoquet and LDS deputy chief whip, Regina Esparon.

Mr Mancienne said the party is happy to step forward to help those in need during this difficult time.

Minister Hassan thanked the party for its generosity and said the sum will go a long way in helping the government deliver on its promise to assist all those affected by the explosion at CCCL in Petit Paris and the bad weather in north Mahé.
