Candassamy Rengassamy is the new chairman of the executive committee of the Seychelles Hindu Kovil Sangam.

He was voted into office on April 10, 2023 during the annual general meeting of the association held at the International Conference Centre (ICCS).

The vice-chairman is Kandasamy Natesan.

The following are the other members of the Seychelles Hindu Kovil Sangam (SHKS) governing council: Kannan Pillay. TMKRK (secretary), Selvakumar Pillay (assistant secretary), Muthukumar Pillay (treasurer), Sasikumar Subramanian (assistant treasurer), Sankar Sambandam, Alexander Muthurengan, Elanchezhian Rethinasamy, Kathamuthu Kallasamy, Raja Santhanakrishnan, Thiriburasundari Jawahar (committee members) and Anandhakopalan Pillay (ex-officio member).

The association mainly administrates the Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple on Quincy Street which is not only a venue for worship but also a place where socio-cultural activities for the entire Hindu community of Seychelles take place.

Today (July 4, 2023) marks the 40th anniversary since the inception of the Seychelles Hindu Kovil Sangam association.
