Tourism Seychelles reinforces its presence in Italy with two dedicated events |10 March 2023

Tourism Seychelles representatives in Italy organised two events to promote the archipelago to consumers in collaboration with the Italian tourism network Labtravel and Tour Operator Il Tempo Ritrovato.

On March 2, the first event was held in a high-end part of Milan and saw the participation of around 25 selected guests, mainly couples and potential travellers keen on travelling to Seychelles for a luxury holiday. The event featured a presentation of the destination and the main 5-star hotels, followed by a networking session and a buffet dinner.

On March 3, the second event was hosted in the charming small town of Monsummano Terme, Tuscany, with the same successful format, welcoming around 30 guests.

Through the images, videos and presentations on display at both events, guests could envision themselves visiting the tropical paradise and collected information and promotional materials to help them plan their holiday.

Labtravel is an Italian network of ‘personal voyagers’ ‒ travel consultants with great expertise that offer tailor-made assistance and holiday packages for their clients. The group has an extensive presence all over Italy, and this year, it can also count on the professional collaboration with the Tour Operator Il Tempo Ritrovato.

Italy is currently one of the top five markets for Seychelles, with a 63% increase in visitor arrivals in 2023 to date compared to last year.

As part of its marketing strategy, alongside continuous support to the trade, Tourism Seychelles is also keeping the destination visible through consumer activities such as in-presence events in partnership with tour operators and travel agencies to target the best clientele and online campaigns.

Recently, Seychelles also received an award from the Italian magazine Weekend Premium for the best Green Destination in the World, highlighting the efforts of the archipelago towards sustainability and the importance of the emerging trend of ‘green tourism’.
