It’s Christmas and the Art of Generosity

The handover of the donation

Wastea and Star Seychelles donate to children’s homes

Forty-eight (48) children from all ‘foyers’ in the country have received gifts as well as other commodities they would need throughout the year, from WASTEA Company and STAR Seychelles.

WASTEA Company, leaders of waste management in Seychelles, has been generously supporting the orphans of Foyer Ste Elizabeth during the festive season for the past three years, and this year it decided to extend this generosity further, by donating to all other ‘foyers’.

The children will each receive a gift and be completely kitted out in new clothes and school items for Christmas. The donations were handed over to the ‘foyers’ during a ceremony yesterday at the St Elizabeth Convent.

This year WASTEA teamed up with STAR SEYCHELLES to expand the generosity campaign and ensure that the children were looked after during this festive season. Present at the prize-giving ceremony was its General Manager, Davis Uzice.

The Director of WASTEA, Stephan Dupouy, stated “Christmas is an important time for the children, and we are committed to support and ensure that the children have a smile and are happy during this time. We also want to welcome other companies to reach out and join this act of giving for 2023 so that it can be brought to all the districts to help all the other children that is in need. Next year 2023, we look forward to welcoming anyone to contact us early in the year to start planning a special event and a more generous contribution to all these children of Seychelles”.

The companies have also taken this opportunity to wish the people of Seychelles a Merry Christmas and A Happy New year.”
