Absa customers can now open accounts from home |24 June 2022

Absa customers can now open an Absa account from anywhere, on any device and without going into a branch thanks to the launch of the bank’s new digital on-boarding capability.

With on-going precautions promoted by local and international health authorities, the need for organisations to provide more online options that cater to customer needs is more relevant than ever.

“Absa is constantly looking for digital innovations to help our customers get things done and many organisations have recognised the importance of embracing digital solutions, an effort which has been accelerated with the onset of Covid-19,” said Johan Van Schalkwyk, managing director of Absa Bank Seychelles while talking about the launch of the new service.

“We take our customers’ time seriously. If they want to use less of their time banking, they can check their account balances, make electronic deposits, transfer money between accounts, pay their bills and so much more using the Absa mobile app or online banking platform. This means they can save a lot of time with our mobile and online banking facilities. And time is money.”

To date, Absa Bank Seychelles introduced revolutionary solutions to banking in Seychelles while simultaneously promoting hygiene, cashless transactions and convenience banking. Some of the offerings include QR Code cash withdrawal capability, enhanced ATM services, Chatbot capability and mobile banking applications.
