Ceps embarks on crucial information campaign |30 July 2021

The Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles has embarked on a national campaign in a bid to provide access to crucial information to members of the public.

The first of its kind, which is a card providing information on a list of essential contact numbers, which citizens can easily access in moments of need, was disseminated during a meeting the Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles (Ceps) had with the press recently. Essential contact numbers such as the police, fire services, hospital, children’s helpline, department of risk and disaster management, media houses, amongst others are featured on the card.

Chief executive of Ceps, Alvin Laurence, explains that many citizens are unaware of these essential numbers, which at times poses certain limitations for them when they are in dire need of these services.

“This is the first of a series of information that will be passed on to the general public on a regular basis,” avowed Mr Laurence.

It is worth noting that amongst these numbers, there is also the contact details for the Citizens Advisory Bureau (CAB) of Ceps, which has recently re-launched its services.
