Import and Export Permit Unit closed to walk-in clients |08 May 2021

The Import and Export Permit Unit within the department of Trade is closed for walk-in clients as of yesterday, May 7, 2021, until further notice.

The closure is necessary to limit close contact and prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, in view of the prevailing situation, and adhering to the measures being advocated by the department of Health, to ensure the safety of clientele and staff alike.

Clients wishing to apply for an import/export permit are requested to make use of the alternative options below:

Clearing agents

The list of agents can be accessed on the Trade Portal website   http://www.seychellestradeportal.gov.sc/news/customs-clearing-agents. Please note that the list is correct as of July 2020.

E-service via Government e-service gateway at https://eservice.egov.sc/eGateway/homepage.aspx

To access the e-service facility, companies and individuals need to register with the Import and Export Permit office in order to get an e-ID. The application for the e-service facility be made to llaurette@finance.gov.sc

Copy of the application can be downloaded at our Trade Portal websitehttp://www.seychellestradeportal.gov.sc/news/import-permit-application-form Clients have to complete the application form and it has to be accompanied by supporting documents in respect to the restricted goods and must be sent to llaurette@finance.gov.sc
