Golden Jubilee Rotary Club of Victoria honours health care workers on Labour Day |04 May 2021
Rotary Club of Victoria, a golden jubilee club in Seychelles, in a simple and short ceremony, honoured Seychelles health care workers at different vaccination centres on Mahé on April 30, 2021.
The club president, Charlie Ng and immediate past District Governor (for District 9220) Rajasundaram handed over gift hampers as a token of appreciation to the health care staff who are currently working at different vaccination centres namely Beau Vallon, ICCS, Mont Fleuri and Anse Royale.
Mr Ng delivered some locally made face masks to the centre heads for eventual distribution to the elderly vulnerable citizens visiting the centres for vaccination. The ICCS vaccination centre head, Fadette Estico, who received the hampers on behalf of her team, thanked Rotary Club of Victoria for the appreciation given to them on Labour Day.
Mr Ng said Rotary Club of Victoria feels proud to honour the health care workers of Seychelles on this special occasion.
He expressed appreciation to all front liners for their continued service, unconditional sacrifice and their untiring active roles in the community during pandemic time.
He noted that supporting health care system is also one of the main avenues of service of the Rotary Club of Victoria and that the club is planning to bring more projects to support front liners in the coming years.
Mr Rajasundaram while thanking the heath care staff at the Beau Vallon clinic mentioned that the service of those front liners is matchless service regardless of risking their own lives and he addressed them as warriors against virus.
Mr Rajasundaram also handed over gift hampers to the staff on behalf of Rotary Club of Victoria.
The club’s president nominee Vijay Vairasamy who was also present has arranged the entire exercise of collection and distribution of those hampers.
It is to be noted that this Golden Jubilee Club has got other two Past District Governors namely Suketu Patel and V J Patel.
