Capital Trading supports community through donations |10 March 2021

Capital Trading has handed donations to various organisations around the country in its bid to support the ‘break-the-covid-transmission-chain’ drive.
Jacques Balette, the marketing manager of Capital Trading, handed donations to the President’s Village, Foyer de Nazareth, Foyer de La Solitude, St Elizabeth’s Convent, senior citizens’ homes and the Ministry of Health.
The donations were in the form of household cleaning items including its leading brand, Ariel washing powder.
“We decided to give out to those institutions and charitable organisations as we felt that during this time, the regular cleaning of households is just as important as the basic health protocols in preventing the Covid transmission. People need to keep their households clean, and so do these homes and hospitals. Our Ariel washing powder will go a long way in ensuring that those in need get the right support during this time when we are all being called upon to do our part,” commented Mr Balette.
Capital Trading says it will continue to do its part in ensuring a safe and efficient service. It is now pushing its web sales drive, to encourage customers to shop in the comfort of their home – an option which Capital Trading notes is becoming quite popular among its customers.
“We started our web sales drive last year when we went into lockdown for the first time. It was a real test but it has really picked up and we are glad that many of our customers have opted to shop online. Our shop remains open to those who cannot shop online with all necessary health protocols in place. Shopping online provides yet another option,” Mr Balette told Seychelles NATION.
The company’s marketing manager says even if 2021 will be a challenging year for everyone, the company plans to be more engaged in the community.
“Consumer education on our products will be a big part of our marketing drive,” Mr Balette told Seychelles NATION.
“Due to Covid, people have become more conscious of how viruses and other germs spread, we will continue to ensure that our clients continue to have such necessary items such as disinfectants and other household cleaning items and ensure that we continue to trade with reliable brands, and during this difficult economic time, we are also encouraging our clients to buy in bulk and save,” noted Mr Balette.
