Sacos organised its annual Life Insurance Contests award ceremony for 2018 to recognise the outstanding performance of the insurance agents and brokers and also showcase their achievements.
The ceremony took place on Saturday July 6 at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort.
2018 has been a record year for ordinary life insurance sales with 760 new life policies sold, an increase of over 60% compared to the previous year and the total sum of insured for new ordinary life insurance reached a record of R92,000,000 compared to the previous record of R56,000,000 in 2017.
The ceremony was attended by Sacos chairperson Lekha Nair and senior management, who thanked the agents and brokers for their exceptional performance over the year.
“Sacos’ vision and mission is to deliver the best customer experience with innovative products to meet our customer’s needs, enhanced loyalty for profitable growth of our company,” said Mrs Nair.
“Without you, our trusted agents, we will never be able to achieve our best and this award ceremony is to thank you and encourage you to keep on working hard,” she concluded.
On her part, the chief executive of Sacos, Jenifer Morel, also recognised the strong partnership required for continued success.
“We have to not only work together but partner with each other to take Sacos to the next level,” she said in her address, adding “we must continue our efforts and drive for excellence.”
The award ceremony consisted of 3 categories – best agent for ordinary life insurance policies which went to Marie-Paule Rose, best agent for credit protection policies awarded to Fair Deal Insurance Broker and the best overall winner which went to HEFCA Indurance Broker. All winners received cash prizes and Sacos trophies.
“I feel proud and happy for the effort and devotion I have put in to win this competition of best ordinary policy,” said an overjoyed Marie-Paule Rose. “This shows dedication and persistence in my work and I would like to thank all my clients who have helped me to win this competition.”
On her part, a jubilant Anna Lafleur representing HEFCA Insurance expressed her happiness to have won. “We feel happy and thank God that we have won the best overall for 2018 and we hope that we will be able to do it again in 2019.”
The event was also an opportunity for agents and brokers to discuss and make proposals to improve our services after the award.
