Covid-19 update - Two more deaths and 22 new cases |06 March 2021
Two more Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded, while 22 new cases of Covid-19 were registered since the last update bringing the total number of cases recorded in Seychelles to 2,950.
They are mostly samples taken on March 3 and 4, 2021.
The two Covid-19 related deaths were recorded on March 2 and 4 respectively. The two female casualties were in their 80s and 90s respectively and they both had underlying medical conditions.
Thirty (30) cases met discharge criteria yesterday and have been discharged into convalescence.
Everyone is advised to continue practice the different measures to stop the spread of Covid19. Keep interactions to immediate households (the persons you live with) only and to not gather in crowds. Other measures to follow:
• Wear a mask in public places and where physical distancing cannot be maintained
• Practise hand hygiene regularly
• Avoid gatherings and crowds
• Avoid sharing objects
• Practise physical distancing of more than 1 metre.
