Two on remand following drugs seizure |12 February 2021

The Magistrate Court yesterday remanded for seven days two out of the four suspects who were arrested on Wednesday at Foret Noire by officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB) of the Seychelles Police Force.

The 41-year-old boatboy and the 37-year-old unemployed woman, both residents of Foret Noire, are facing drug related charges as a result of the seizure of the approximate amount of the following suspected controlled drugs: 32g of heroin, 222g of cannabis resin (hashish), 178.19g herbal cannabis and R102,000.00 which were all found in their possession.

They are to reappear before the court on February 18, 2021.
